Donations

If you would like to donate to the Lopez Fire Department, this money can be directed to go to specific or general equipment or station needs such as station upgrades or new apparatus. If no specifics are given, the Fire Chief will put the money towards one of the many equipment needs that our agency has.

 

The Lopez Fire Department is a tax-exempt organization under Section 170(c) of the IRS code and donations qualify for a federal income tax contribution deduction under Code § 170(c)(1) in the same manner as donations to a 501(c)(3). 

 

If you would like to donate to the Lopez Fire Department, you can make out your check to San Juan County Fire District 4, and bring it to the station or mail it to PO Box 1 Lopez Island, WA 98261

If you would like to donate to the Lopez Firefighters Association, a 501(c)(3)) organization, this money goes to the firefighters to decide upon its use.  Such things they have put donations towards in the past have included personal safety equipment and tools. If you would like to donate to the Lopez Firefighters Association, you can make out your check to Lopez Firefighters Association, and bring it to the station or mail it to PO Box 1 Lopez Island, WA 98261

 

If you would like to donate to the Lopez EMS Association, a 501(c)(3)) organization, this money goes to the EMT’s to decide upon its use.  Such things they have put donations towards in the past have included health memberships and Spanish classes.  If you would like to donate to the Lopez EMS Association, you can make out your check to Lopez EMS Association, and bring it to the station or mail it to PO Box 1 Lopez Island, WA 98261
